    Abstract
Professor John Brug writes this article in response to a 2000 article by a CLC pastor concerning the differences in doctrine between the WELS and the CLC. To accomplish his goal, Brug reviews the points of agreement reached in 1987-1990 CLC-WELS-ELS talks, and contrasts them with statements propagated by the CLC in 2001. This article is closely related to Professor Nass’s “Observations on the CLC”, which can be found here: http://wlsessays.net/node/4080.
