    Abstract
As the WELS and ELS celebrate their 75th anniversary of fellowship, it is an opportunity to thank God for the past and present fellowship. The New Testament explicates the importance of fellowship, iterating the bond of unity amongst those who live in Christ. Luther held steadfast to the unity of doctrine, which would bring about fellowship. The WELS and ELS exhibited this practice through their respective synodical formation and dealings with the LCMS through its growing doctrinal laxity. As such, the fellowship between the members of the WELS and ELS are deep bonds rooted in Scripture. The pure message of the Gospel continues to be taught in schools of all levels and churches, sustaining one another to speak the truth to the world that grows more hostile to God’s Word. Meanwhile, we continue to ask God to help preserve our continued fellowship in the future as we seek to hold steadfast to the truths of Scripture.
